New Faces in the DDD

As the Dallas Design District undergoes continual expansion and growth, there's a palpable sense of anticipation as it welcomes an array of fresh enterprises. Thibaut Showroom

In February, Thibaut made its Dallas Design Center debut, captivating the design community with an exquisite array of fabrics, wallpaper, furniture, and more. Established in 1886, Thibaut stands as the oldest continuously operating wallpaper firm in the US. Renowned for traditional and transitional designs in distinctive color palettes, Thibaut's recent upholstered furniture line and the incorporation of Anna French's luxury brand have solidified its position as a sought-after resource across diverse product categories for designers and discerning consumers alike.

Triumphs Espresso & Whiskey

Triumph's Espresso & Whiskey made its DDD debut in December, followed by an enticing whiskey bar in February. This unique establishment offers locally sourced coffee, in-house crafted syrups, and a diverse menu including pastries from La Casita Bakeshop and Starship Bagel. Be sure to catch their Live Jazz Nights on Wednesday-Saturday nights from 8-11pm.

Double D’s

In late November, This & That Hospitality unveiled its latest endeavor, Double D’s. The D’s, of course, stand for Design District. This exciting, retro-themed bar features an inviting, wood-paneled interior with nostalgic interior design touches. Thoughtful and tasty cocktails, a chill happy hour, and a line out the door to dance to live DJs every weekend, Double Ds has made a huge splash in the area and continues to spread “all the love” to its eclectic patrons.

Malibu Apothecary

Inspired by founder, Claire Ellis's, love for travel, wellness, and luxury, Malibu Apothecary was born as a result of her desire to capture the essence of her global adventures through fragrance. Frustrated by the toxic and unethical practices of the candle industry, Claire embarked on a mission to create cleaner candles using coconut wax and sustainably sourced essential oils, with a commitment to promoting both a cleaner Earth and healthier living. Wayward Coffee

Joining the DDD community just a few months ago, Wayward Coffee’s second location is off to a smashing start. Beginning as a mobile multi-roaster coffee service in an old VW bus, Wayward continues their focus on community, quality, and connection through coffee. The DDD location reflects an inviting atmosphere with elements like natural light, plants, and art. With an emphasis on approachability and high standards, their coffee program is supported by roasters like Cat & Cloud, La Cabra, and others, offering both classic and creative drinks.

Phillip Jeffries Showroom

Coming to the Design Center this fall, the renowned Philip Jeffries showroom is already generating an eager buzz throughout the design community. Originating from a family business that began with 10 grasscloths in a garage over 40 years ago, Phillip Jeffries has evolved into a global leader in wallcoverings, boasting a vast stock of approximately one million yards. Committed to simplifying interior design, they transform homes and commercial spaces into exquisite environments, offering an extensive selection, top-notch quality, and swift delivery to facilitate an effortless and inspiring design process.

Ride On

Prepare to be thrilled this fall as Ride On, the adult-only "social drink rink," arrives in the DDD. Get ready to indulge in a chef-driven menu that promises delectable culinary delights, groove to the beats of a vibrant DJ booth, and explore the exciting arcade area, among other thrilling experiences. The visionary minds behind the On Brand Hospitality group have designed this remarkable establishment to offer an escape where guests can let loose, have fun, and create unforgettable memories. Glide across the roller rink, savor mouthwatering dishes from an acclaimed chef (soon to be revealed), and sip on handcrafted cocktails—it's an adventure that awaits at Ride On.

Toca Social

Known as “the Topgolf of soccer,” London’s Toca Social is making its U.S. debut in the Dallas Design District later this year. The expansive new location features 56,000 square-feet spanning three stories, TOCA Social combining a lively social atmosphere with soccer gamification through 34 TOCA boxes, complemented by four bars for refreshments, ultimately contributing to Dallas' reputation as a hub for entertainment and sports.

Hi Line Connector

Slated for a Spring 2024 completion, the highly-anticipated Hi Line Connector will connect the much-beloved Katy Trail with the Trinity Strand Trail in the DDD. The Loop Dallas establishes an exciting and revitalizing connection within the city, combining 39 miles of existing trails with 11 miles of newly constructed paths to create a total of 50 miles of walk and bike routes. This ambitious project not only enhances access to green spaces and nature but also offers an alternative means of public transportation free from traffic congestion, contributing to economic growth and mobility in historically underserved neighborhoods.

Meteor Cafe

The DDD is buzzing with excitement as The Meteor Cafe arrives in partnership with Dallas Urby, the high-rise luxury apartment known for its innovative living style. The Meteor offers a delightful experience with natural wine, craft beer, specialty coffee, ingredient-driven foods, and a bike shop with expert service and a vetted selection of bicycles and apparel. Get ready for a unique and vibrant addition to the neighborhood coming this summer!

Drai’s Dallas

Coming late 2024, the highly-anticipated Drai’s Dallas venture promises to transport the vibrant spirit of Las Vegas to Dallas. Spanning an impressive 15,000 square feet, the new location will house a restaurant that boasts cabaret-style entertainment, a private lounge, and a captivating stage. To elevate the experience further, Drai's will also feature a private members lounge, exuding the design elements that made Drai's After Hours in Las Vegas an iconic destination.
